Underneath a road in an area of SE-sloping pasture overlooking the mouth of Bantry Bay. According to local information, the ground collapsed here during road works and an underground passage was revealed. The collapse was subsequently filled in. Recently the road has been re-surfaced and there are now no visible remains of the possible souterrain at ground level.
