In pasture, on a slight elevation beside the rocky seashore on the SE-facing slopes of a small island, Ilanebeg, overlooking Dursey Sound. The sod-covered remains of a rectangular hut site (3.3m E-W; 2.6m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 0.85m; H 0.15m). The cliff-edge of an inlet is 3m to the N. Another hut site (CO126-030006-) is c. 15m to the E. (Breen 2003b; 2006, 36) The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
