What is recorded here

In rough hill pasture, on cutaway bog on the lower NW-facing slopes of Dursey Island and overlooking the Bull and Cow Rocks. A roughly D-shaped area (38m NW-SW) with the straight side at SW (L 40m) is defined by the collapsed remains of a substantial drystone wall (T 1m; H 0.5m). The stony SW half of the interior slopes down steeply to the NE and the level NE half contains a hut site (CO126-026001-). The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). Date of upload: 22 December 2009
