What is recorded here

In a forest, on the W bank of a stream. A mound (3.5m E-W; H 2.05m) of heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil was recorded here in 1994 (SMR file). The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). Date of upload: 22 December 2009

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
