What is recorded here

In pasture, on W-facing slope. Circular area (69m N-S; 70m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 2m). Remains of outer bank (ext. H 0.4m) with external fosse (D 0.35m) to NNE and SSE. Interior slopes gently downhill to E. Within interior to NE, rectangular area (41m E-W; 36.5m N-S) enclosed by earthen bank (H 0.6m) to S and W; slight rise (H 1.1m) to N; NE bank enclosure to E; cultivation ridges run E-W across interior. Rectangular annexe (14.7m E-W; 8.6m N-S) abutting enclosure to S; enclosed by earthen bank (H 0.4m). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
