What is recorded here

Roadside, on stream 1.65km N of Kilbrittain. Gabled, L-shaped 4-bay, 3- storey structure; slated roof, wooden floors. Wheel pit (Wth 1.58m) on S elev.; overshot-cast iron waterwheel with segment wheel attached to arms. Pinion engaged externally. Power was transmitted by pulley system operating a pair of millstones on 1st floor. Bramford Rapid Roller Mill and Turner Grinding Mill also in use. Grain drying kiln at NW end structure. Millers house attached to NW. Dry mill race approaches from N. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
