In rough grazing, on a NW-facing slope. According to local information, a mound of heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil was levelled and spread over an area c. 12m x 12m during the course of land reclamation work. Occasional traces of heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil are visible on the ground. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
