What is recorded here

Immediately S of an earthen field boundary which encloses an area of scrub, on a W-facing slope. A kidney-shaped mound (9m N-S; 4m E-W; H c. 0.5m) of heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil, mostly covered by blackthorn bushes. According to local information, there was a well to the NE of the mound. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
