What is recorded here

In pasture, on ledge above floodplain of Argideen River. Saucer-shaped circular area (30m N-S; 26m E-W) enclosed by scarp (H 2.4m) with external fosse. On downslope side second scarp (ext. H 4.3m), topped by low bank ENE->WSW. Third and outermost scarp (H 2m) at base of slope; intervening fosse/terrace (Wth 2m). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992).
