What is recorded here

In a level pasture field, surrounded by undulating farmland to the SW of Ballingurteen village. This standing stone (1.4m x 0.45m; H 1m) leans slightly to the NW and is orientated NE-SW. The stone narrows as it rises to a roughly rounded top. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
