What is recorded here

In pasture, atop hillock. Circular area (36.6m N-S; 35.7m E-W) enclosed by two earthen banks, separated by fosse. Inner bank (H 2.6m) SE->NNE; scarp elsewhere. Outer bank (H 1.8m) SW->NNE; levelled for short section to NNE and ESE; to E stone faced and incorporated into field fence system. Cultivation ridges cross interior on ENE-WSW axis; souterrain (CO120-061003-) in interior. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
