In pasture, c. 60m S of the Owenashingaun River. According to local information, a circular mound of heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil was discovered here during land drainage works. The mound was levelled and there are no visible remains of any heat-shattered stones or charcoal-enriched soil. Also according to local information, three parallel oak logs (L c. 4.5m), c. 1m apart, were found in the bog c. 6-8m W of the burnt mound. These are no longer extant and their relationship, if any, to the burnt mound could not be established.
