What is recorded here

In pasture, atop drumlin, N of Durrus River. Circular area (29m N-S; 27.9m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 2m); external fosse (D 1.8m). Slippage causes inner berm on bank to W and N. Entrance to E (Wth 5m), blocked by stone wall. Cultivation ridges cross interior E-W. Standing stone (CO118-062002-) in same field to NNE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992).
