In a small reed-covered lake, on the W side of a road. According to local information, rounds were made at this lake on 8 July in the past and rosary beads were left hanging on the branches of nearby willow trees. Small islands on the lake were said to move from time to time. It was regarded locally as a twin lake of Lough Mackeenlaun in Derryrush, Co. Kerry, on the N side of the Beara Peninsula - a well-known penitential station.
