What is recorded here

In rough hill pasture, on a break on a steep E-facing peaty slope. The remains of a circular hut site (diam. 3.2m) defined by a jumbled stone wall (T 0.6m; H 0.3m). Some stones from the wall are scattered along the perimeter of the hut site. The level interior is raised (H 0.1m) at the E and cut (D 0.2m) into the upslope at the W to compensate for the hillslope. Another hut site (CO115-116002-) is 4m to the NE. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
