What is recorded here

In rough hill pasture, in a level area of cutaway bog. Turf-cutting has recently exposed the remains of a relict stone field boundary (T 0.6m; H 0.3m) which extends in a general N-S direction for a distance of c. 35m. Both ends run into uncut bog. A turf stand for stacking turf is now situated on the relict boundary. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
