In rough rush-covered pasture on a N-facing slope overlooking Kilmackowen valley and Coulagh Bay. Two stones, with differing alignments, protrude above the surface of the bog and stand 5m apart. The NW stone (H 0.6m; 1.3m x 0.28m), roughly rectangular in plan and elevation, is aligned NW-SE. The SE stone (H 0.4m; 0.75m x 0.25m) is aligned SSE-NNW. There is a standing stone (CO115-083002-) 3m to the N. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
