What is recorded here

In rough undulating hill pasture, on a W-facing slope within a network of relict field boundaries (CO115-060----). The remains of a D-shaped hut site (3.7m E-W) was exposed by turf-cutting and is defined by a curving bank (Wth 0.5m; H 0.15m) through which mainly contiguously set stones (H 0.2m) protrude W-SE with a straight W side (L 3.4m). The interior slopes down gently towards the centre. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). Date of upload: 22 December 2009
