What is recorded here

In pasture, on gentle NNW-facing slope. Circular area (32m N-S; 33m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 2m); external fosse ENE->S, infilled except short section to S (D 1m). Stone-faced entrance to NE (Wth 4m). Cultivation ridges cross interior on NE-SW axis; interior raised on NNW side to compensate for hillslope; possible souterrain (CO108-080---) in NE quadrant. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992).
