In pasture, on SSE-facing slope. Roughly circular area (diam. c. 35m) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.9m) NNW->SE; scarp (H 1.4m) to S and W. Low bank to N, topped by stone wall. Bank and scarp stone faced in parts. Interior raised on S side to compensate for hillslope; S half crossed by cultivation ridges on NW-SE axis. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992).
