What is recorded here

In pasture on N-facing slope. Irregular stone aligned NE-SW (H 1.1m; 1.45m x 0.75m). Myler (1998, 105) recorded 'cup and line markings on its south-eastern side'. Myler (ibid) also notes that the NE-SW alignment of the stone is 'common with the majority of the standing stones in this general area'. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 29 January 2013
