In pasture, atop drumlin. Platform (38.5m N-S; 37.3m E-W) raised 2.75m above surrounding ground level; enclosed by earthen bank (H 1m) W->NNE; external fosse (D 1.1m); counterscarp bank (H 1.19m) NW->N. Entrance to NNE (Wth 4.2m), with causeway. Myler (1998, 21) describes the site as being 'heavily planted with dense coniferous trees'.
