On rock outcrop, on S slopes of Mass Mount, overlooking Bantry Bay and Adrigole Harbour to SW. Compass-scribed cross (diam. 0.14m); attempt at 'Marigold'. O'Brien (1968, 71) suggests cross may be of 'recent date'. Similar cross (CO116-014003) c. 150m to S; holy well (CO116-014001) to SW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 14 January 2009
