What is recorded here

In rough hill pasture, on the N-facing slopes of Tooreennamna Mountain. The remains of a circular hut site (diam. 2.4m) defined by a collapsed drystone wall (T 0.5m; H 0.55m), the rubble from which is scattered downslope to the N. The S wall of the hut site abuts an E-W field wall from a network of relict field boundaries (CO102-041015-). The interior is obscured by rubble and ferns. A break (Wth 0.4m) at the E may indicate the entrance location. A hut site (CO102-041004-) is c. 30m to the N and another hut site (CO102-041006-) is c. 35m to the E. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). Date of upload: 22 December 2009
