What is recorded here

On rough pasture, within the N quadrant of an enclosure (CO102-039001-). The poorly preserved remains of a circular hut site (5.6m E-W; 5.4m N-S) are mainly defined by a series of stones (T 0.5m; H 0.2m) embedded in the ground along the perimeter. Some stones are scattered in the level interior, which is partially obscured by rushes. Some of the stones from the hut site may have been used in the nearby modern field boundaries. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). Date of upload: 22 December 2009
