E side ringfort (CO102-00801-) (O'Halloran 1916, 165). Investigated by McCarthy (1977, 141-143) who described 5 earth-cut sub-rectangular chambers with barrel-vaulted ceilings. Average dims. L 2.5m: Wth 1.2m; H 0.7m. Wall recesses in chambers 1,3 and 4; construction shafts in chambers 3 and 4. Long passage (L 7.6m; Wth 0.9m; H 0.8m) extends E from chamber 2, opening into fosse. Ringfort now overgrown but two entrances were noted, one in SW quadrant, the other on ext. face SW bank. O'Shea and Crowley (1972, 78) mention three internal entrances, two more into fosse (one blocked).
