What is recorded here

On a slight elevation on low-lying pasture, c. 40m to the E of a river, at the foot of Tooreennamna Mountain. A damaged roughly circular cairn (3m N-S; 2.65m E-W; H 0.25m) that is mainly grass-covered. Large stones, which are partially obscured by gorse and grass, were noted intermittently along the perimeter. The cairn is largely obscured by gorse, except at the W. A standing stone (CO102-005007-) lies 2m to the E. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
