In pasture, on gentle N-facing slope. Circular area (diam. c. 38m) defined by undulation to N, E and S, running inside slight kink in field-fence to S. Locally known as 'fort'. According to Ó Ríordáin (1933, 60) 'there was once a lios, but the remains are now scarcely distinguishable'. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992).
