What is recorded here

In pasture, on NNW-facing slope. Roughly circular area (32.4m N-S; 35m E-W) enclosed by collapsed stone wall. Gaps in wall to E (Wth 2m) and WNW (Wth 2.4m). Later wall runs along outer face of cashel wall to N and E. Cultivation ridges cross interior on ENE-WSW axis. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992).
