What is recorded here

On the N bank of the Dromgarriff River and within a network of field boundaries (CO091-017005-). A crescent-shaped mound (9.4m E-W; 5.6m N-S; H 0.55m) of heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil. The opening (Wth 1.6m) faces the river to the S. Traces of burnt material are exposed at the tip of the E arm, which has been eroded by the river. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
