What is recorded here

In a sheltered E-sloping hollow, on bog, within a network of relict field boundaries (CO091-010001-). The remains of a D-shaped hut site (2.2m NW-SE) defined by a curving stone wall (T 0.6m; H 0.5m) with a straight SE side (L 2m). The wall protrudes above the surface of the bog. A break in the wall at E may indicate the entrance. There is a hut site (CO091-010003-) c. 30m to the NE and another hut site (CO091-010011-) is c. 6m to the S. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). Date of upload: 22 December 2009
