In rough hill grazing, in a wet hollow within a network of field boundaries (CO090-026001-). The remains of a horseshoe-shaped mound (8m N-S; 6m E-W; H 0.55m) of heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil. The opening (Wth 2m) faces W. Sheep paths have cut through the mound at E and SE. A burnt mound (CO090-026011-) lies c. 15m to the NE. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
