In a wooded area with occasional outcropping rock, on the W bank of the Kerry River. Through a lintelled opening stone steps can be seen which lead down to a stone-built passage (Wth 1m; H c. 1m) roofed with lintels. Depressions and collapsed areas in the vicinity of the opening indicate that the souterrain extends c. 30m as far as the riverbank to the E and then turns to the N for a short distance. A children's burial ground (CO090-019001-) lies c. 20m to the W.
