On SW-facing slope. Partially levelled. Circular area (diam. 25m N-S; 30m E-W); defined by low rise with external depression visible NW->NE (max. int. H 0.3m); elsewhere clumps of gorse may follow outline of site. Interior slopes sharply to S. According to Power (1940, 24) 'On Smith's farms were two lioses but both have been destroyed'. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 2: East and South Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1994).
