In a housing estate, on a steep W-facing slope. Described in 1999 as a kidney-shaped mound (18m E-W; 15m N-S) of heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil in a ploughed field just E of a country house named 'The Hermitage' on the 1934 OS 6-inch map; yellow soil noted on the S side of the mound may have marked the location of the hearth (SMR file). There are no visible remains of this possible fulacht fia.
