In ringfort (CO087-046---), excavated 1989 by Anne-Marie Lennon in advance of partial destruction by Sandoz factory. Possible entrance (Wth 0.8m; D1.0m) leads from SSE with creepway (Wth 0.6m; D 0.9m; L 2.5m) running NNW into possible chamber (L 2.6m; Wth 2m; D 1.5m). Second smaller passage (L 1.5m; Wth 1m; D 0.7m) leads from chamber to N. N sign of collapsed lining or roofing; backfilled with domestic debris. May never have functioned as souterrain. Overlies several earlier structures (Lennon forthcoming).
