Discovered in 1846 built into a souterrain (CO085-067002-), in the SW quadrant of a ringfort (CO085-067001-), with five other ogham stones (CO085-067004-) (CO085-067005-) (CO085-067006-) (CO085-067007-) (CO085-067008-), now in the collection of the National Museum of Ireland (see DU018-369----). The stone (0.6m; 0.3m x 0.1m) is broken and missing the first part of the inscription, which Macalister (1945, 93, no. 97) gave as ...]LL MAQI VORRTIGURN. According to Macalister this is a secondary inscription, the older, apparently copied 'in minute pin-scrapes on the unoccupied part of the second inscribed angle', is given as DIOBI (ibid.). (Power et al. 1997, no. 7948) This stone has been studied as part of the ‘Ogham in 3D’ project undertaken by the School of Celtic Studies, Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies.
