In pasture, on S-facing slope. Hartnett (1939, 266) described subrectangular earthwork (300ft x 250ft), surviving to S as 'raised platform, 5 feet above old ground level'; external fosse 'can be traced forits whole circuit, across a "boreen" to the north and a third class road tothe north-east' (ibid.). South-west quadrant, hachured on 1903 and 1943 OS 6-inch maps, survives as scarp (H 1m). Farm buildings and house built in E half of interior. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
