To E of centre of ringfort (CO084-026001-). Described in 1864 by Pitt-Rivers and Caulfield as 'a beehive chamber 4ft 6in high, lined with "lime and very small stones", with a second chamber nearby connected by a drain-like opening, with a gallery to the surface' (Twohig 1987, 43). In the Cork Constitution newspaper this is described as a ' "covered passage 2ft square, opening to south, leading to a chamber 4ft x 3ft 3in closed at the top, and another passage of same dimensions as the former with chamber 5ft broad x 4ft 8in high" ' (Twohig, ibid.). No visible surface trace. Second souterrain to SW (CO084-026002-).
