Road bridge (Wth 7.2m) over River Bride; remains of Hornhill Mill (CO083-091002-) to E. Named 'Knocknaneirk Br.' on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Three large arches; semicircular arch on S side with rough voussoirs, other two arches similar in size but more segmental in shape, with roughly cut voussoirs. Central arch repaired; all underpinned. Bridge appears to be partially rebuilt in 19th century and subsequently repaired. Low pointed breakwater on upstream side, and later rectangular breakwater on downstream side. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
