In pasture, on S-facing slope. Circular area (c. 40m N-S; c. 40m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.7m) with external fosse (D 1.7m), decreasing in depth to S. Bank levelled to WSW; possibly pushed into fosse. Entrance (Wth 6m) to S, sloping gently down to outside. Narrow gap in bank to NW. Water flowing in base of fosse to E, possibly from spring. Interior covered in ferns and briars; NE quadrant overgrown with young trees.
