What is recorded here

In pasture, on NE shoulder of NE-SW ridge. Circular area (30m N-S; 30m E-W) defined by earthen bank (int. H 2m; ext. H 2.8m); external fosse (D 0.3m)NNW->ESE, slight depression visible elsewhere. Bank highest on NE side (downslope), gradually decreases in height around to SW (int. H 0.5m; ext.H 0.5m). Interior surface uneven; possible souterrain (CO082-099----). Ringfort (CO082-028----) visible on Mullaghroe Hill to SE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
