In pasture, at foot of W side of Kilbarry Hill, on W-facing slope. Circular raised area (diam. c. 30m) defined by earthen bank (int. H 0.5m; ext. H 2.3m) SSE->W; heavily overgrown scarp (H 0.6m) on N side; field fence to E. Bank stone-faced externally in parts. Laneway skirts bank to W; roadway on N side. Interior covered in ferns. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
