In quarry, built against rock. Front (H c. 6m; Wth c. 6m) N-facing; recess (H 1.9m; Wth 2m; D 2.5m) corbelled, rear formed by large slab, stoking-hole evident. Recess arch filled by masonry; formerly supported by wooden lintel. Brick-lined funnel, infilled. Top of kiln enclosed by stone wall.
