What is recorded here

This ogham stone was found built into a gate pier in a farm wall in Bishop's Island, Co Cork (CO053-072----). The inscription is pocked and rubbed and was read by Macalister (1945, 65, no. 61) as OLAGNI MAQ[...H (see also McManus 2004, 21-2, no. 24: OLAGNI MAq...). The surface is flaked away as far as the L so a latter may have preceded the O; the top is broken away after the Q. (Power et al. 1994, no. 4232) Compiled by: Nora White Date of upload: 8 February 2016

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
