What is recorded here

This is the present location of one of six ogham stones found in a souterrain (CO072-078002-) in a ringfort (CO072-078001-) at Knockshanawee, Co Cork (see CO072-078004-). This stone (1.75m; 0.4m x 0.25m) stood upright in the souterrain supporting a lintel. Both Macalister (1945, 113, no. 113) and McManus (2004, 15-6, no. 5) gave the inscription as VEQIKAMI MAQI LUGUNI; Power (1932, no. 15) had a C for the K in the first word.
