On S-facing slope, on N side of River Lee, lies Sunday's Well which gives its name to the area. Due to road widening in 1946, stone building over well removed and well covered by road; 'stone tablet' on building with inscription 'I.H.S., Sunday's Well 1644' placed on wall adjoining road (O Coindealbhán 1946, 160). Plaque survives, but rounds no longer made here. Shell midden (CO074-05401-) immediately to W of well.
