St. Paul's church, built in 1723 for new parish in Cork city; built in simple 'Grecian' style (ext. 26m E-W; ext. 14m N-S); stucco work on ceiling said to be work of Italian prisoners held during Napoleonic Wars; stained glass in E window depicts last supper (O'Shea 1943, 32). Now in commercial use. Remains of graveyard (CO074-03501-) to S. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 2: East and South Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1994). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
