In pasture, c. 15m E of 'the boiling well'. Hartnett (1939, 257) noted that 'the bank of blackened stones is crescentic in shape, about 40 feet in overall diameter and has the opening in the direction of the well'. Mound levelled c. 1978; spread of burnt materal noted. See Excavations 2002, 80. Archaeological test trenching was carried out to determine the extent of this fulacht fia in advance of the construction of the Ballincolig bypass. It was not excavated and it remains in situ.
