In tillage, on SE-facing slope; discovered in December 1991. Single oval-shaped earth-cut chamber (L 4m; Wth 1.4m; H c. 1m; long axis NE-SW); blocked creepway at NE end to entrance or other chamber(s). Remains of infilled construction shaft at W side. Present entrance to W through collapsed roof; floor covered with spoil from collapse. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 14 January 2009
